Kitchen

JOB DESCRIPTION: KITCHEN

 

Introduction

 

De Dutch is a category leader in casual dining with it’s main focus to date being on breakfast and lunch. The De Dutch corporate locations are full service breakfast and lunch establishments, finished with the finest equipment and materials.

 

Kitchen Staff are required to maintain fast, accurate bill times, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Cooking — To prepare and plate the customers food orders received from the servers. This includes any special orders or staff orders.

 

    • Prepping — To prepare food for cooking such as chopping vegetables, slicing meat and making pannekoek mix.

 

    • Cleaning, Maintenance & Stocking — To perform regular cleaning duties as identified by management and to maintain levels of stock in the kitchen commensurate to the amount of business.

 

    • Dishwashing — When there is not a dishwashing person working, the line cook must also assist by putting dishes through the dishwashing machine.

 

    • Maintenance of Standards — It is the responsibility of every employee, including the line cook, to maintain the standards as prescribed by De Dutch Pannekoek House Restaurants Inc. These standards are identified in the cooks manual and, from time to time, through memorandum.
Server

JOB DESCRIPTION: SERVER

 

Introduction

 

De Dutch is a category leader in casual dining with it’s main focus to date being on breakfast and lunch. The De Dutch corporate locations are full service breakfast and lunch establishments, finished with the finest equipment and materials.

 

Servers are required to maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Greeting & Seating — To greet new customers as they arrive and then accompany them to their seats, leaving them with menus, napkins and cutlery.

 

    • Selling — To inform the customer about specific item(s) which have been identified by management as “up sale” or “meal enhancement” item(s).

 

    • Serving — To take the order from the customer and to bring the filled order to the customer. This includes anything sold at the location along with all condiments and utensils.

 

    • Clearing & Busing — To clear and clean tables including taking dirty dishes to the dishwashing area and disposing of refuge.

 

    • Dishwashing — When there is not a dishwashing person on duty, the server must also assist by putting dishes through the dishwashing machine.

 

    • Cashier — To take and process payments from the customers at the table.

 

    • Cleaning, Maintenance & Stocking — To perform regular cleaning duties as identified by management and to maintain levels of stock at the serving station(s) commensurate to the amount of business.

 

    • Maintenance of Standards — It is the responsibility of every employee, including servers, to maintain the standards as prescribed by De Dutch Pannekoek House Restaurants Inc. These standards will be identified in the server manual and from time to time, through memoranda.
Hostess/Host

JOB DESCRIPTION: HOSTESS/HOST

Hostess/Hosts are required to maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Greeting & Seating — To greet new customers as they arrive and then accompany them to their seats, leaving them with menus, napkins and cutlery. The hostess is also to thank customers as they leave.

 

    • Maintenance of Standards — It is the responsibility of every employee, including Hostess/Hosts, to maintain the standards as prescribed by De Dutch Pannekoek House Restaurants Inc. These standards will be identified in the Hostess/Hosts manual and from time to time, through memoranda.
