Servers are required to maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Greeting & Seating To greet new customers as they arrive and then accompany them to their seats, leaving them with menus, napkins, and cutlery. The hostess is also to thank customers as they leave.
Selling To inform the customer about specific item(s) which have been identified by management as “up sale” or “meal enhancement” item(s).
Serving To take the order from the customer and to bring the filled order to the customer. This includes anything sold at the location with all condiments and utensils.
Clearing & Busing To clear and clean tables including taking dirty dishes to the dishwashing area and disposing of refuge.
Dishwashing When there is not a dishwashing person on duty, the server must also assist by putting dishes through the dishwashing machine.
Cashier To take and process payments from the customers at the table.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Stocking To perform regular cleaning duties as identified by management and to maintain levels of stock at the serving station(s) commensurate to the amount of business.
